Patricia
has more than 29 years of nursing experience in the community and health care
sector, 20 of them in the field of occupational health and safety. She has a
Bachelor of Health Science in Nursing, a Masters degree in Health Service Management,
a certificate in Occupational Health Nursing, and a Management Certificate in
Occupational Health and Safety. She is a Certified Occupational Health Nurse, a
Canadian Registered Safety Professional and a Certified Disability Management
Professional.
She is also a Program Manager for the Disability Management Certificate Program at Mohawk College, Hamilton, and an instructor for the Return to Work Coordinator Certificate online program through the National Institute for Disability Management and Research (NIDMAR). In addition, she is a member of the NIDMAR Canadian Advisory Committee.
Patricia has extensive working knowledge of the development and implementation of occupational health and safety systems, employee health services, disability management programs, injury prevention programs, safe handling of clients programs and workplace violence prevention. Patricia speaks at many provincial, national and international conferences.
